Giant Noise is growing, and our Public Relations team is growing with it. We’re looking for a Director of Public Relations who thrives at the intersection of leadership, storytelling, and strategy. This role is for a seasoned communications professional who knows how to guide teams, shape meaningful narratives, and build campaigns that resonate across earned, owned, and paid channels.

At Giant Noise our teams work closely with Digital, Creative, and Strategy to develop integrated campaigns that help brands show up in culture in thoughtful, impactful ways. The Director will play a key role in guiding client work, mentoring team members, and helping shape the future of our PR department. This role will oversees the strategic direction of multiple client accounts and work closely with agency leadership to ensure the work is smart, effective, and aligned with Giant Noise’s standards of collaboration and creativity.

Our clients span hospitality, lifestyle, entertainment, and emerging brands, and we’re looking for someone who brings both strong media relationships and a passion for building stories that travel.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and mentor a PR team across multiple client accounts, guiding account staff while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
  • Drive strategic communications for clients, shaping messaging, media strategy, campaigns, partnerships, and events.
  • Build and leverage media relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers to generate meaningful coverage and opportunities.
  • Serve as a senior client partner, providing strategic counsel and maintaining strong, trusted relationships.
  • Oversee campaign execution and deliverables, ensuring quality across press materials, outreach, reporting, and presentations.
  • Manage account operations and performance, including scopes, staffing, budgets, and utilization to ensure profitable, efficient work.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Digital, Creative, and Strategy teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
  • Support new business efforts, contributing to pitch strategy, proposals, and presentations for prospective clients.
  • Identify opportunities for organic growth within existing client relationships.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, helping position Giant Noise as a leader in modern communications and storytelling.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of public relations or communications experience, ideally within an agency environment.
  • Leadership experience managing teams and multiple client accounts.
  • A strong understanding of media strategy, storytelling, and integrated communications.
  • A track record of developing PR campaigns that deliver meaningful business impact.
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and team utilization in a service-based environment.
  • Excellent client communication and presentation skills.
  • Deep relationships across media and influencer landscapes.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to guide teams through complex, fast-moving projects.

Bonus Experience

  • Experience in hospitality, food & beverage, lifestyle, or entertainment PR.
  • Familiarity with industry tools such as Muck Rack, Cision, Asana, or similar platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
